This place sucks.The environment, staff, service, waiting area. Everything is just bad. First off the waiting area is so dirty and old. and this place is huge, but there’s nothing inside of it. Maybe they should put more bays for more work. there’s only like two people working. This guy named Eduardo just sits on his phone at the desk talking to his girlfriend. They literally have their camera system and computer on the floor. What is this poor establishment. Maybe hire more people as well since there’s so many now Hiring signs on the front door.

I had a very disappointing experience at Pep Boys Paterson. I made an appointment for Wednesday 7/29/26 at 6:30 PM to replace all four tires. After waiting, the technicians removed only two wheels and then told me they couldn’t remove the other wheels because the lug nuts wouldn’t come off. They asked me to come back the next day because the “main technician” would be there. The next day, my sister took the car back. Then I received a call saying they needed to replace all the lug nuts because they couldn’t put the old ones back on. This sounded unnecessary and felt like an attempt to charge me for extra work that wasn’t needed. If your technicians can’t complete a basic four-tire replacement during a scheduled appointment, why accept the appointment in the first place? Having to return the next day, only to be told I needed additional parts, was frustrating and a waste of time. This was my first experience at Pep Boys Paterson , and unfortunately it left a very poor impression. I won’t be returning to Paterson, and I can’t recommend this location based on my experience.

I do not recommend Pep Boys in Paterson, NJ. I had a set of 4 new tires mounted and installed - a basic gas station job - and they had my vehicle in the service bay for nearly 2.5 hrs. On top of that, they did not check their work and I found that one of the tires had been underinflated by 10psi. I had to go back into the shop and pull my car back into the bay, and through an interpreter explain the problem. They confirmed that the tire mistakenly only received 26psi instead of 36psi . That's not all. The next morning, another of the tires had already lost 6 pounds of air. When I checked, the air valve pin was sticking out unusually far and touching it cause an audible air leak. Apparently, when the valve was manipulated for emptying the old tire and filling the new tire, the valve pin was dislodge and never checked for being securely in place before the valve caps were put back on and the vehicle returned to me. No quality control. Finally, the friendly service advisor made a point-of-sale explaining that they never touched the valve stem pins. (Apparently they may wave a magic wand and the air escapes from the tire and then they wave it again and the tire pumps up on its ow

My visit to the Paterson Pep Boys shop was FANTASTIC. Bryant was extremely courteous, professional and engaging. The employees represented Pepe Boys in high fashion. They are knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend a visit to the Paterson Pep Boys for all your vehicle needs. Ask for Bryant. He will treat you right! Seems they changed staff. Today's service was shady. Went for wheel alignment. Printer wasn't working. No info on wheel alignment to verify completion. Then manager went to the back and came back with a picture on his phone. To top it off, the person who drove my car from front to back took the wire out of my dash cam. What were they doing in my vehicle they didn't want me to see? Next time plug it back in. Manager by the name Victor told me no need to call corporate they will only email him. Bring the other employee back. I think his name was Francisco. He was great.
